Sausage Hot Pot with Bacon and Potatoes

  • Fry your favourite Farmer's Choice Pork Sausages till golden brown.
  • In a second pan fry some bacon with onions and garlic(optional), the bacon, onions and cooked sausages (cut into one-inch chunks).
  • Cover with water (not too much) or bone stock. Cover with a lid and bring to boil.
  • Season with salt and pepper

Seashore Sausages

An easy lunch or tea-time snacks for four hungry kids.

Ingredients:

  • Spaghetti for four servings.
  • 400g Pork Sausages of your choice, frozen spinach.

Method:

  • Cook enough spaghetti to line a large serving dish. Cover with hot spinach puree then arrange freshly cooked sausages on top.

 

Sausage with Roast Potatoes

  • Fry your favourite Sausages with a sliced onion.
  • Peel 6 potatoes cut into 1/4s or 1/2s and boil till soft. Do not overboil the potatoes.
  • Drain off the water and add the potatoes to the Sausages to cool on a plate.
  • Pan fry till potatoes are golden brown
  • Add salt and pepper and a little chopped parsley(optional).

Sausage in Beer (for Dad)

  • Take your favourite Farmer's Choice Pork Sausages and fry in a little oil till golden brown.
  • Drain off exces oil, eplace the sausages onto the heat and add a litre of beer.
  • Bring back to boil.
  • Serve and ensure you empty all the beer contents.

No need to season

Pork Sausage Sweet & Sour

Ingredients:

  • White onions.
  • Green peppers.
  • Seeded tomatoes
  • Ketchup.
  • Wine vinegar.

Method:

  • Cut some pineapple into cubes, white onions, green peppers, seeded tomato into cubes as well. 1 tablespoon of tomato ketchup and wine vinegar.
  • Cook the sausages till evenly brown. Remove from pan and fry the white onions and green peppers till they start to shine in appearance, add in the tomato ketchup and vinegar and remove from the heat.
  • Finally add the cubed tomato and pineapple, correct seasoning, and serve with the pork sausages.

Honey Glazed Ham Tart

- Serves 4

- Preparation time 2 minutes

- Cooking time 8 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp olive oil.
  • 1 sheet round ready-rolled short crust pastry.
  • 100g/4oz sliced Honey Glazed Ham
  • 4 spring onions.
  • 1 tbsp wholegrain mustard.
  • 1 tbsp crème fraiche.

Method:

  • Heat the olive oil in a non-stick frying pan that’s big enough to fit the round of pastry. Place the pastry in the pan, then fry for 4 minutes on one side.
  • While the pastry is cooking, grate the cheese, shred the Ham and slice the spring onions. Tip into a bowl, then beat in the mustard and crème fraiche.
  • Heat the grill to high. Slice the pastry onto a plate and flip it over and back into the pan. Spread the cheese mixture over the top, continue to cook for a further 4 minutes, then grill for 1 – 2 minutes until bubbling. Slide the tart onto a board. Cut into wedges and serve with a salad.

Ingredients:

  • White onions.
  • Green peppers.
  • Seeded tomatoes
  • Ketchup.
  • Wine vinegar.

Method:

Orange Cucumber Sausage Salad

Try this delicious and different salad idea.

Ingredients:

  • 400g Premium Pork Sausages.
  • 150g long grain rice
  • 3tablespoon salad oil, 1 table spoon vinegar, salt, pepper and dry mustard to taste.
  • 1 orange peeled and cut into segments.
  • 2 large tomatoes peeled and seeded and roughly chopped.
  • 1 small cucumber peeled and diced.
  • 1 level tablespoon chopped chives.

Method:

    • Fry sausages gently for about 6 minutes or untill cooked , remove from pan and leave to cool.
    • cook rice until tender then drain.
    • Blend oil, Vinegar, salt, pepper and mustard to taste then stir into rice and leave until cold.
    • Add all remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly.

Pile into serving dish and arrange the sausages on top.

Saucy Sausage Pasta

Ingredients:

  • Pasta
  • Classic Pork Sausages
  • Onion, Garlic & Tomatoes
  • Chilli Powder

Method:

  • Heat a little oil in a large frying pan and fry the sausage chunks on medium heat until they are golden brown. Now turn the heat down and add the onion and garlic, cooking them until they have softened.
  • Stir in the chilli powder and tomatoes with the sausages bring the sauce to the boil then turn the eat down and let it bubble for about 10 minutes while you cook the pasta.
  • Put the pasta into a pan of boiling water and coo according to the pack instructions. Drain the pasta, then put it into the frying pan with the sausage sauce, mixing well to coat. Dish up immediately with crysty bread.
 

Useful Tips

  • Sausages should be stored in the refrigerator immediately after purchasing. Cook them within two days of purchase or freeze them in the deep freezer.
  • Use a non stick pan for best results when cooking. Spray on a light coat of oil if your pan is not non-stick
  • Warm the pan up to a medium setting and never on high heat.
  • The key to cooking sausages is to never push too much heat too quickly; a gentle even heat is the best cooking method. Maintain the low heat to avoid burning your sausages too quickly.
