Ingredients:
500g minced beef
2 tablespoons cooking oil
1 large onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon ginger (optional)
2 tomatoes, chopped (or 2 tablespoons tomato paste)
1 beef cube (e.g Royco or Knorr)
1 teaspoon curry powder or beef masala
salt and pepper to taste
Fresh dhania (coriander), chopped
Instructions:
Heat oil in a sufuria or deep pan over medium heat. Add onions and cork until golden brown.
Add garlic and ginger, stir for 1 minute until fragrant.
Add minced beef and cook while stirring to break it up. Brown it for 5-7 minutes until no longer pink.
Add tomatoes (or tomato paste), curry powder/beef masala, and the beef cube.
Cook for another 5-8 minutes until the tomatoes soften and the mixture thickens.
Season with salt and pepper. If it’s too dry, you can add a little water or beef broth and simmer for 5 minutes.
Finish with dhania: Stir in chopped coriander and turn of heat.
